The Tcherassi Hotel and Spa is located along the warm and elegant waters of Colombia’s Caribbean shoreline. The rooms are a modern blend of simple European design and indigenous flare. Originally a mansion that was built over 200 years ago, the Tcherassi Hotel has been renovated and transformed into the modern building you’ll see before you. The ceilings are high, the floors hardwood, and the counter tops marble throughout the hotel that is world renowned for its luxury along some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The rooms at the Tcherassi Hotel aren’t huge but the attention to detail shines throughout. The colors used in each room are relaxing yet powerful for however you want to spend you time there. The shower heads are huge and you’ll feel like you’re bathing in a rain shower rather than inside one of the best luxury hotels in the world. Each room is also uniquely designed and since the hotel is a former mansion, has a cozy home-like feel to it making each of the 7 rooms types feel as comfortable as possible. The 7 types of room, from the “Voilee” to the “Ziberline” have a variety of features from outdoor balconies to sound proof windows. The attention to detail and service from the over 30 staff members per customer is amazing.

Unfortunately reservations can only be made over the telephone. The Tcherassi Hotel website doesn’t display the availability of rooms or schedule yet, although it’s in the works and coming sometime in the near future. There are however excellent photos featured from time to time on their site which show the outdoor pool, rooftop terrace, and lounge areas around the hotel’s garden.

Of course, we couldn’t forget to include information about the spa which is in the Tcherassi Hotel’s name! A large part of the hotel is actually the spa portion and it’s where you can get over 25 treatments from facials to massages and more. The spa will be hard to resist and not something you want to scrimp on due to budget. Save up and enjoy yourself at the spa and work it into your daily routine.

Start your mornings with a light snack and tapas on the rooftop terrace as you soak in the early sun before heading out to explore the beach or other parts of town. The pace of life is just a bit slower in South America and it’s a tempo you can fall comfortably in if you let yourself. While enjoying your time on the terrace, but sure to try one of the fresh squeezed juice to refresh yourself as you stroll around looking at the beach or the rest of Cartagena de Indias.
